Launched Detonator Media in 2014 as an innovation based, multi-media channel sales operation focusing on connecting brands and consumers in new & unique environments.
Has 18 years experience in media and marketing from OOH, radio, magazines and the last 10 years in digital.
Before Detonator I was Sales Director for Habari Media, successfully launched global brands like Facebook, LinkedIn, BBC across Africa.
I am very passionate about the media industry and focus on growing digital media adoption in Africa. I also sit on the Media Innovation Council for the IAB SA, with a mandate of education around innovative media offerings in South Africa.
Brett has been in Online Media Industry for over a decade now and have gained experience across the UK, US and South African markets.
He is privileged to have worked with such global super powers such as Facebook, Linkedin, MTV, eBay, Inc.com and BBC along with local South African brands like Business Day, Financial Mail and AutoTrader.
He has worked across all facets of the online world including Digital marketing, Digital Sales, Affiliate Marketing, Online Media, Web design, SEM, SEO and PPC, Email marketing and Online Gaming
I have been doing digital sales for 9 year now, and I have been able to tap into both Digital sales as well as Social Media sales.
I have worked for Media giants such as Media 24, later moved across to Habari Media and focused on building sales for the Lifestyle vertical, after 2 years I felt the need to expand my social media sales knowledge and experience and took on the role of Account Manager at Ad Dynamo who were the exclusive sales partners for Twitter in Africa.
However my love for digital sales is far stronger and I was given the opportunity to team up with the dream team @Detonator Media.
